Combat, skills & loot
The numbered keys select assigned skills. All ten slots can hold eligible skills; they are not permanently split into normal and special skill groups.

|---|---|
| Q | Use the item assigned to quick slot 1. |
| W | Use the item assigned to quick slot 2. |
| E | Use the item assigned to quick slot 3. |
| R | Use the item assigned to quick slot 4. |
| 1–9 / 0 | Select the skill assigned to that numbered slot. |
| U | Skill Imprint: organize the learned skills used in your quick slots. |
| A | Master Skill Tree for the appropriate class stage. |
| Ctrl + A | Skill Enhancement Tree for the appropriate class stage. |
| Space | Pick up a nearby item or Zen from the ground. |
| Alt | Show item names on the ground while held. |
| End | Hunting Log, where supported by the client. |
Friends, guilds & trading
Personal-store search and your own store are different windows. Opening your store requires the inventory context.
| KEY | ACTION / CONTEXT |
|---|---|
| F | Friends and messages. |
| G | Guild information. |
| B | Gens information. |
| N | Party and guild matching / search. |
| P | Search other players' personal stores in a supported town or safe zone. |
| S | Your personal store — while inventory is open. |
Map, chat & help
Use the symbol keys on your keyboard. If a display control differs, check the current map or chat tooltip.
| KEY | ACTION / CONTEXT |
|---|---|
| Tab | Show or hide the minimap. |
| + | Increase minimap size. |
| − | Decrease minimap size. |
| [ / ] | Adjust minimap transparency. |
| Enter | Open or finish typing in chat. |
| Esc | Close the active window or open the system menu. |
| Print Screen | Take an in-game screenshot. |
| F1 | Open the in-game Play Guide / Help. |
| F2 | Lock or unlock the chat window, where supported. |
| F3 | Show or hide whisper messages, where supported. |
| F4 | Resize the chat window while chat is active, where supported. |
MU Helper & party control
Configure and save the Helper before hunting. Party-wide commands are for the party leader and require members to grant Helper Assignment. Members still need to satisfy map, channel and entry conditions.
| KEY | ACTION / CONTEXT |
|---|---|
| Z | Open MU Helper settings. |
| S + Left click | Start / direct the Helper at a ground position in the newer interface. |
| Middle click | Helper ground-position control: press the mouse wheel, rather than scroll it. |
| Ctrl + S + Left click | Leader command: send assigned party members to the ground position and run their Helpers. |
| Ctrl + Middle click | Alternative leader command for assigned party members and their Helpers. |
| Alt + Right click | Open the character / party context menu to request or manage Helper Assignment. |
Older / alternate display bindings
Older shortcut lists also include these interface controls. They can vary with the Classic / Simple interface and client build; treat the current menu tooltip as the authority.
| KEY | ACTION / CONTEXT |
|---|---|
| Home | Legacy Helper start / stop key. Check the current Helper button before relying on it. |
| Ctrl + F | Switch Classic / Simple interface mode, if offered by the client. |
| F5 | Chat transparency / general-chat display in interfaces that support this binding. |
| F9 | Gens-chat display toggle in interfaces that support this binding. |
| F10 | General-chat display toggle in interfaces that support this binding. |
| F11 | Party-chat display toggle in interfaces that support this binding. |
Prepare for the journey
Check off what you have ready before entering, crafting or changing your build.
Step by step
- 01
Start with C, I or V, M and D. Open your character sheet, inventory, travel list and command menu once so you recognize each window.
- 02
Place the potions you use in Q, W, E and R. Open Skill Imprint with U, assign learned skills to the numbered slots, and test selecting them with 1–9 and 0.
- 03
Use Tab to show the minimap. Adjust its size and transparency, then make sure you can still read the terrain and your current location.
- 04
Open Helper settings with Z and save your combat and pickup choices before starting a short hunt. Use the Helper section below for current controls and party assignment.
- 05
If a shortcut does nothing, close chat, select the game window and check the relevant menu tooltip. Some commands require an open inventory, warehouse, active chat window or an unlocked class system.
What makes the difference
Letter shortcuts act on the game only while you are not typing in chat. Press Enter to finish or close chat before opening a window.
Q is an item quick slot; P opens personal-store search. O opens options, R is the fourth item slot, and Y opens Muun inventory. Read O, R and Y as keyboard letters.
A Master tree and Ctrl + A enhancement tree can require the corresponding class advancement. Opening a window does not unlock the system.
Home appears in older Helper lists. WEBZEN later introduced S + a click on the ground; use the current Helper Start/Stop button or its tooltip if your client differs. A wheel-click means pressing the middle mouse button, not scrolling.
